Also

In addition to my slight cupcake bender, I have
-attended a production of West Side Story (it was miserable, this shall be its last mention)
-participated in (and will continue to participate in) a cultural exchange between our sister city and my city, entertaining a host of Russian doctors... one of the requirements set by the program was that they must be at the top of their fields, so we have a group of five extremely intelligent Russians. The sound of their language is just so beautiful <3 I'm really hoping I can take part in the return delegation next fall... *crosses fingers* I'd love to go to Russia! It's becoming a bit of a pet obsession... I enjoy the history, am intrigued by the politics, and of course the country and language are just so pretty...
-done a LOT of homework...
-read Catch-22 (I loved it- possibly my new favorite book- and I will undoubtedly be doing a book review soon.
-received the products of my online shopping:

pink and black heart-shaped sunglasses, polka dot sunglasses, a bubble umbrella and a cute cupcake necklace!

the most adorable cupcake fabric (this I didn't get online, but it's a new purchase so I lumped it in)

cute little petticoat to make my skirts puff out in a Lolita manner- I've worn it three or four times- took a little getting used to

If I remember correctly, I spent less than 50$ on all this, so thank you amazon!! The most expensive thing was the petticoat, which I got on myesoul.com, and it was totally worth it. So perfect and adorable. The cupcake fabric I round on sale in JoAnn's! *Much happiness*
Has anyone scored any deals they're particularly proud of?

Cupcake Obsession...

I think this one might be my very favorite individual...

I made a rainbow of cupcakes for the Russian delegation from our sister city, Rubtsovsk (I think I spelled that right ^^')  they very much liked them, though they didn't understand at first that they could eat the little pearly sprinkles, and as very few of them speak English beyond "hello," it was rather difficult to get them to understand...

I think these look pretty cute, all lined up..

In my science class, once every two weeks we have a themed food party, where we read animal behavior articles and eat. This week's theme was blue.

Apparently I'm destined to make a lot of adorable cupcakes. Life has been throwing events at me like mad, and they've all had to do with cooking, baking, having food, needing to bake to reduce anger or anxiety... Just a TON of cupcakes have been made in the past couple weeks. So here is a picspam of all of them. Or, well, some of them. The cute ones ;D

Plans, Plans...

For spring break, my mom is taking my brother and I to Seattle (good thing I just got a new umbrella ^^) I like Seattle, despite the hipsters and bad coffee (KIDDING.... sort of) and I think I'll really enjoy spending a few days up there. Pikes Place Market takes up a whole day for me, it's a great place... this time I think I'll be smarter with my packing and take things that are warm, versatile and are actually practical to wear on a daily basis. Last time I had no idea what to expect weather and activity-wise so packing was hard and I ended up one day in the outfit I regret the most... long sleeved red/black striped shirt, red tights, black petticoat and red Dr. Martens. It didn't look TOO horrible, but... awkward. Neo-Victorian punk is NOT my style...

and then in April, we get to go to... San Francisco!
Only my favorite city on the west coast!! I haven't been there in so long, last time we spent more than a day there I wasn't even old enough to ride the trolley down the block by myself... but this time, I want to go to a couple Lolita shops, as well as ride the BART (I think that's what it's called, bad memory) to Oakland and head into  the Dark Entry and the Buffalo Exchange... shopping and sightseeing! Yay! My grandmother is meeting us down there, she says she wants to go to Alcatraz and I told her I would love to go with her.
Angelic Pretty San Francisco- from their facebook page
San Francisco has marvelous things. Stores filled with things I actually WANT o.O a wonderful array of people... I can't wait.

This Week in Pictures

So I've gotten a little bored with my style/decided it's time for a slight change
*And now for something completely different!*
I have decided that I will start challenging myself by selecting a theme for each week of school and incorporating it every day. This week was the first, and I decided to go easy on myself by just resolving to use the two newest colors: seafoam green and pink. I found items of both shades that I liked in a large department store recently (I really must post pictures of those, unpaired and not on me), which made this week pretty simple.
Monday and Tuesday were pink days, Wednesday Thursday and Friday were seafoam green days.

Scones

Oh, the joys of family life....
I made these amazing little strawberry scones. Went to my room to grab my camera. Come back after a five-minute search. All but the ugliest scone have been eaten. Much sorrow. Oh well, next time I'll be quicker on the draw.
Just glad my family likes my baking <3

Today and Yesterday

I like my plaid dress and heart stockings, so here they are from yesterday before the dance, this isn't what I wore all day, I was just playing with my hair XD I actually had a fun colorful day yesterday though, I worked at a library fundraiser that was Doctor Seuss theme so I wore a pastel Lolita thing with my stripy bustle XD yay!! Yesterday was fun, I finished it off by going to a school dance for Mardi Gras, it was fun but I forgot to take pictures all day >.<
I got a new hair bow and sunglasses so here they are, I actually wore my hair like this for the Mardi Gras dance last night, but it was nicer because I spent more time on it ;D I love this outfit actually, practical yet adorable.

I made birthday cupcakes for an amazing teacher I have, he's a great liberal/hippy guy and he teaches Advanced American Literature so we have a ton of fun in his class...
This one is my favorite! It's so cute :3

Style

I can't decide which of these girls I want to be... ALL of them I guess ;D

they're all so beautiful... I guess I should blend them! I don't think cybergoth and Lolita really go together... but I could have green hair and be a gothic Lolita I suppose ;D I should get on that!
Does anyone have one ideal style, or a favorite blend of fashion?
